DESIGNER SPOTLIGHT: V I N N PATARARIN

V I N N PATARARIN is a multi-disciplinary fashion design based on cutting-edge experimentation of textile and architecture with the questions of material and space. Approaching the art of post-modern craftsmanship by the technic of High-tech meets Low-tech production. Their philosophy is to see elements differently and using cross-disciplinary and theory to innovate and go beyond tradition. Textile is not only material but also the representation of culture and status from time to time. Considering textile itself as design and art piece where designers introduce architecture structure to the making process and graphic making. Their latest collection,’Symbiosis Instinct’ challenges the concept of movement, action and reaction, and the essence of living things. The motif can transform to 3 steps like plants growing and creatures moving. Each motif gives different volume and technic. The duo used rhino program to generate the pattern then laser cut it, fining by hand folding and embroidery. The notion of post-digital craft and couture makes is at the essence of this collection. DESIGNER SPOTLIGHT: HELMUT PARIS

After spending 4 years as an Artistic Director at Publicis, Camille left the advertising world to work exclusively on her brand, Helmut Paris, that she founded while she was still working two years ago. Her concept? Mixing transparency and chic through her plexiglas creations. Minimalist, geometrical forms, her creations are inspired by magazines, runway and a lot of Pinterest. Playing with forms and transparency, Camille regularly work on collaborations with famous bloggers, such as this lovers set made specially for Valentine’s day with You Make Fashion. To follow Helmut’s activity, head to Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. We’re very happy to showcase Helmut creations on our futurist runway next Thursday! Don’t miss it!
